Catch Exeggutor now

Finally, I can finish the Ripple of time task of catching 5 Exeggutors. But A stucked on her previous task, she needs to evolve Grimer, she only caught a few, has only 28 candies. Now, I need to catch Cubone.

Pokémon GO Tour: Johto. 2/26, Sat, 9am-9pm

Johto tour, yesterday. 2/26,Sat,9am-9pm. Madness. It is my first time participate. Without cions to buy storage, I spend too much time to trade and cull them off. I totally forget to evolve Pokemons to get legacy charge. So in the future.

  1. 1. Save coins to buy buddles offered in the event.
  2. 2. Pay attention to bonus the event offers.

I thought I should catch in the wild and take a picture. I thought I encounter Entai and took a picture. With one throw, it fled. strongly, the picture is not there. Later, I joined raid and took a picture. I did not catch it but A did. I caught here. Without a remote pass, I passed the other two.

I did 5 raid. one 1* unown(many forms), two 3*raid. Ho-Oh.  6 lucky ones. Not bad.

I managed to finish up to 6. I just played locally and had a very hard time to find trainers until I figured out Niantic play them on the same spot. After I defeated one, I need to come back. The trainer will change. but it is too late when I finally figured out the way to do this.

Eggs, Candy vs. Distance

1km walking, Magikarp, Golem, Swablu

20km Buddy Distances explained

All Legendary Pokemon require 20km before they drop Candy, such as the Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos from Gen 1, Lugia and Ho-Oh from Gen 2, and so on. With such high distances, we recommend you use Rare Candy to level up these creatures instead.

Other things to know about Pokémon Go's Buddy system

  • While most Pokémon will be alongside you on the Trainer screen, walking a total of 10km with Pikachu as your Buddy will see him sit on your shoulder, showing a sign of your close friendship. Togepi, meanwhile, will be held in your arms. Cute!
  • Contrary to some rumours, you don't receive any XP for walking your Buddy Pokémon, just Candy.
  • It's believed there is no daily limit to the amount of Candy you can earn through the Buddy system in one day.
  • Like hatching Eggs, using Pokémon Go Plus will contribute to the distance walked for your Buddy.
  • Any Pokémon currently assigned as your Buddy can't be withdrawn from your inventory to defend a friendly Gym. To get around this, be sure to use a lower tier of that Pokémon evolution family (a Dratini instead of a Dragonite, for example) or just another of that same creature. You can, however, use it to fight in Gyms.
  • All creatures in the same evolution chain require the same amount of walking distance for Candy to drop - allowing you to put their later evolutions to work in Gyms.
  • Pokémon that have fainted can be used as your Buddy.
  • Evolving your Pokémon will reset your Candy counter, so time those evolutions wisely.Buddy distances are used to calculate the cost of unlocking a second move for a Pokémon. The further the distance, the higher the cost.

Egg explains

https://pokemongo.fandom.com/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_Eggs

https://www.imore.com/how-to-hatch-eggs-pokemon-go

If you enable Adventure Sync, every week you can potentially earn two Eggs. These Eggs look like 5 KM and 10 KM Eggs, but the contents are different.

There are seven kinds of Pokémon Eggs in Pokémon Go:

  • 2 KM Eggs with green spots.
  • 5 KM Eggs (standard) with yellow spots.
  • 5 KM Eggs* (Weekly Fitness 25 KM) with purple spots.
  • 7 KM Friend Eggs that are yellow with pink spots
  • 10 KM Eggs (standard) with purple spots.
  • 10 KM Eggs* (Weekly Fitness 50 KM) with purple spots.
  • 12 KM Strange Eggs with red spots   (Defeat Grunt Team Leader)

Note: Weekly Fitness Reward Eggs are visually identical to the standard 5 KM and 10 KM Eggs received from Pokéstops but have a much smaller pool of potential Pokémon.

5km eggs, 1194 stardusts,   12 candy

10km eggs, 2880 stardusts, 28 candy

10km eggs, 1972 stardusts, 19 candy

The following Pokémon are now hatching from Strange Eggs: Larvitar, Absol, Sandile, Scraggy, Trubbish, Pawniard, Vullaby, and Deino.

Different Pokémon are hatching from 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km Eggs. Please note that Pokémon that appear in the wild only in specific regions will hatch only from Eggs obtained in those regions.

The following Pokémon are now hatching from 2 km Eggs: Zubat, Poliwag, Cubone, Magikarp, Mareep, Wooper, Snubbull, Volbeat, Illumise, Wailmer, Swablu, Buizel, Buneary, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, and Minccino.
//Gastly from 2km eggs.

The following Pokémon are now hatching from 5 km Eggs: Machop, Farfetch’d, Seel, Voltorb, Lickitung, Kangaskhan, Tauros, Eevee, Pineco, Heracross, Corsola, Ralts, Aron, Torkoal, Feebas, Tropius, Clamperl, Relicanth, Mime Jr., Chatot, Hippopotas, Carnivine, Pansage, Pansear, Panpour, Pachirisu, Blitzle, Roggenrola, Maractus, Gothita, Solosis, and Bouffalant.

GO Battle League, Jan 23, Feb 6, 4x stardust

In addition to the three core leagues—Great (1500) Ultra (2500), and Master Leagues  (No limit) —each season features themed cups. For example, a Master League Classic will often feature Pokémon with no max CP but exclude certain Pokémon. An example of a themed cup is the Element Cup, which features Fire-, Water-, and Grass-type Pokémon. These cups vary from season to season, offering some fun variety along with an opportunity to mix up your battle lineups.

GO Battle League

  • How to Unlock Battles
  • How to Build a Balanced Team for Trainer Battles
  • How to Pick Pokémon Perfect for Trainer Battles
  • How to Increase Your Rank and Rank Rewards
  • League Rotations: Great League, Ultra League, Master League, and More
  • How to Prepare for Battle: Training, Second Charged Attacks, and TMs
  • How to Train outside the GO Battle League
  • GO Battle!

Choose between two reward tracks: Basic Rewards and Premium Rewards. Each time you battle, you can choose between a set of leagues and cups

Another key element to consider is that not all Fast Attacks charge energy at the same rate. Pokémon with Fast Attacks that quickly charge energy can dish out their Charged Attacks sooner, pressuring the opponent into blowing through their two Protect Shields. For example, Swampert is widely used because it can rapidly charge energy using its Mud Shot Fast Attack.

Mudkip, Marshtomp (25), Swampert  (100)

Dragon-type Pokémon—like Dragonite, Dialga, and Giratina—are popular in the Ultra and Master Leagues, so many Trainers use Pokémon like Gardevoir or Togekiss with a Fairy-type Fast Attack to gain an advantage against Dragon types.

Everyone begins their GO Battle League journey at rank 1. You'll progress through the early ranks just by completing battles, regardless of whether you win or lose. But you'll soon find that it's necessary to win. Currently, the GO Battle League is comprised of 24 ranks: 1–20 are numbered, with the next four ranks being Ace, Veteran, Expert, and then Legend.

Each new GO Battle League season kicks off with the Great League, which is the easiest league to get started in because only Pokémon with 1,500 CP or less can participate. In the Great League, Pokémon that have relatively low maximum CP compared to other species can thrive due to this league's low CP cap. You won't frequently see Pokémon like Azumarill, Medicham (Meditite 50 Candy), and Altaria (Swablu 400 Candy to Altaria) in the other two leagues, but in the Great League, these Pokémon can dominate

Trade evolution, 25 budget Pokemon

Top 25 BUDGET Pokemon To Power Up In 2021 In Pokemon GO! | Which Pokemon Are Worth Powering Up?!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oc0nSxM_4Fw

https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/pokemon-go-trading-requirements-special-trades-how-to-trade-7002

Before we get into the specifics of trading itself, let's start with 2020's big new feature - trade evolutions.

In the mainline Pokémon games, there's a set of Pokémon that can only be evolved if they're traded with another player. When Pokémon Go was released, these Pokémon were all evolved through candy, due to the lack of trading.

Now, however, trade evolution has been incorporated into Pokémon Go, offering a different evolution method for a specific group of Pokémon. These Pokémon are:

  • Kadabra (evolves into Alakazam), Abra 25,
  • Machoke (evolves into Machamp), Machope, 25,
  • Graveler (evolves into Golem), Geodude,25
  • Haunter (evolves into Gengar), Gastly, 25, Mega evolve
  • Boldore (evolves into Gigalith), Roggenrola, 25
  • Gurrdurr (evolves into Conkeldurr), Timburr 25
  • Karrablast (evolves into Escavalier)
  • Shelmet (evolves into Accelgor), otherwise, 200 candies
  • Phantump (evolves into Trevenant), otherwise, 200 candies
  • Pumpkaboo (evolves into Gourgeist), otherwise, 200 candie

Mega Evolution

For hardcore collectors, the main reason to get mega evolved Pokémon is that they appear permanently in your Mega Pokédex. But, on the downside, your mega evolved Pokémon will only stay in its brawny new form for 8 hours. After that, it devolves into its original form.

List of Mega Evolutions

https://nintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Mega_Evolution

The Rules Of Mega Evolution

  • You can only have 1 mega evolved Pokémon at a time. If you have a mega evolution already and you mega evolve another Pokémon, your first mega evolution will devolve and you’ll need to collect mega energy to mega evolve it again
  • You cannot mega evolve shadow or clone Pokémon
  • You can mega evolve purified Pokémon, but they won’t have a swirly white aura when mega evolved
  • You cannot use a mega evolved Pokémon to defend a gym
  • Mega Pokémon can’t be used in the GO Battle League (but this may change in the future)

How To Get And Use Mega Energy

To mega evolve a Pokémon, you first need to collect mega energy. Like candy, each Pokémon that can mega evolve has its own mega energy.

If you want a Mega Charizard, you’ll need to scrape together enough Charizard mega energy. But you can’t use another Pokémon’s mega energy to get Mega Charizard.

To get mega energy, you can:

  • Battle mega evolved Pokémon in raids, where you’ll earn the mega energy of the Pokémon you’re fighting. You’ll get more mega energy the faster you complete the raid
  • Complete certain research tasks that reward you with mega energy for a particular Pokémon
  • You can also earn mega energy by walking with your buddy Pokémon. To get this bonus, you must have previously mega evolved a Pokémon in your buddy’s evolutionary line. So if Mega Blastoise is in your Mega Pokédex, and you make Squirtle your buddy, you’ll get mega energy when walking with your buddy

I only found out today, 2/2/2022, when I purified  2*Weedle to get 3* Kakuna, since I don't have enough candy, I made it as my buddy. To my big surprise, not only I can get candies, but also I can get Mega energy. It is extremely cheap. For 1km, you get 1 candy and 5 mega energy.

To make things trickier, mega evolved Pokémon are not always available in raids – which is a pain as battling them is the quickest way to get mega energy.

When a mega Pokémon disappears from raids, it may be a long time before it comes back.

So when a mega evolution is starring in raids, make sure to stock up on mega energy before it leaves.

You can only carry a maximum of 2,000 mega energy per Pokémon species. But as mega energy is hard to get, this is unlikely to ever be a problem.

Mega Evolving Gets Easier The More You Do It
If you want to mega evolve a Pokémon again, you’ll have to go through the same process of collecting and using mega energy.

But the good news is that, if you mega evolve a Pokémon again, you’ll need less mega energy.

For example, a Mega Venusaur costs 200 mega energy on its first mega evolution, but only 40 mega energy next time.

But beware! This bonus only applies to the specific Pokémon you mega evolved.

If you mega evolve your best Pidgeot into Mega Pidgeot, it will cost you 100 mega energy, but only 20 the second time.

But if you want to mega evolve another Pidgeot from your collection, it will cost you 100 mega energy.

To make things more complicated, Charizard can mega evolve into 2 different forms.

You’ll be given a choice to mega evolve Charizard into either Mega Charizard X or Mega Charizard Y.

If you mega evolve Charizard into Mega Charizard X, the mega energy needed for future mega evolutions of that Pokémon will be reduced – but only for that form.

You will need to evolve a Mega Charizard Y at full cost before you can reduce the mega energy cost to get that mega evolved form again.

If you trade a Pokémon that was previously mega evolved, it will keep its mega energy discount.

The Advantages Of Having A Mega-Evolved Pokémon
The most obvious benefit of mega evolving Pokémon is in battle, where they get boosted attacks and combat power (CP).

But, in many cases, mega evolving a Pokémon can also change its type, which can give you a sly advantage in battle.

For example, Mega Charizard X is a fire and dragon type Pokémon. But the creature it evolved from, Charizard, is a fire and flying type.

To understand how Pokémon types can give you the upper hand in battle, check out our guide.

One thing that doesn’t change about mega evolved Pokémon is their fast and charged attacks. These remain exactly the same.

Also remember that mega evolved Pokémon can’t be powered up. To make your mega evolution kick ass, make sure to pump up the Pokémon it evolves from before squandering your mega energy.

Mega-Evolved Buddy Pokémon
If a Pokémon in your collection was previously a best buddy, and you mega evolve it and make it your active buddy, you’ll get an extra CP boost in battle. This is in addition to the normal boosts you get for a mega evolution.

About Mega gyarados, Beedrill, etc

===Mega Beedrill  =======

Pokémon type: Bug / poison

When Cresselia is in raids, it’s a good time to mega evolve a Mega Beedrill. Its bug moves are strong against psychics, and it will boost other bug type Pokémon in the skirmish.

The best Pokemon Go Mega Beedrill counters are Shadow Mewtwo, Mega Charizard Y, Mewtwo, Shadow Moltres, Shadow Metagross & Shadow Ho-Oh.

Mega Beedrill has a max CP of 3824, with the following stats in Pokémon GO: 303 ATK, 148 DEF and 163 STA. Mega Beedrill's best moves in Pokémon GO are Poison Jab and Sludge Bomb (21.94 DPS).

===Mega Gyarados =======

Mega Gyarados is a Water and Dark-type Pokemon, instead of Water and Flying like regular Gyarados. The Pokemon’s typing now means that Fairy, Electric, Fighting, Bug and Grass-type moves are all super effective against it.

There are a few top counters to Mega Gyarados in the game, let’s take a look at them.

Zekrom is the cream of the crop here. Magnezone, Zapdos and Raikou are also strong counters. Another solid counter is Electivire. Alongside the Electric-types, there are a few good Fighting Pokemon. Lucario, Conkeldurr, Machamp and Breloom all shine here.

Research Breakthrough, Espurr, for Feb 2022

How to get Espurr in Pokemon Go Research Breakthrough

Espurr is the Research Breakthrough for February 2022, meaning you’ll need to earn your seventh Field Research stamp and claim your big reward before the end of the month, as a different Pokemon will then take over.

https://www.dexerto.com/pokemon/pokemon-go-research-breakthrough-tasks-1545588/

What is Field Research in Pokemon Go?

Field Research is a series of tasks that are obtained by spinning a PokeStop or Gym. Players looking to wrack up rewards will have to travel as they are only able to complete one task a day for each location.

Each task contains an objective and Trainers are given a reward for achieving them. Rewards can range from items like Poke Balls to encounters with specific Pokemon, all of which you can see in the table above.

How do I unlock a Research Breakthrough?

To unlock a Research Breakthrough and get an encounter with the current month’s Pokemon, you’ll need to complete one Field Research task every day for seven days. The good news is they don’t have to be consecutive days.

Once you’ve completed a task, make sure you claim the reward on the Field Research progress page to earn a stamp. You can only earn one stamp per day, but completed tasks can be saved up and claimed at a later date to earn a stamp.

Once seven stamps have been earned, you’ll be able to claim your Research Breakthrough reward by opening the package that appears at the top of the Field Research progress page.

IV (Individual value) vs. CP (Combat power) Explain

typing “4*” in the search bar will yield all of your 100 percent IV Pokémon, making it easy to spot any sleeper picks you may have missed. Looking up “3*”, “2*,” and “1*”

The IV increase means a Shadow Pokemon with IVs of 13 (13 attack, defense and stamina) are guaranteed to become perfect (100% IV) when purified.  (Yes, I figure this out)

https://www.dexerto.com/pokemon/pokemon-go-when-purify-shadow-pokemon-1308580/

https://www.dexerto.com/pokemon/pokemon-go-iv-cp-explained-444052/

https://pokemon.gameinfo.io/en/faq#counter

If your Pokémon has three stars and a red stamp, it means that it has 100% perfect IVs. If it has three star with an orange stamp, it has around 80-99% perfect IVs. Two stars means 66-80% IVs and one star means 50-65% IVs.

What are IVs (Individual Values)?

Every Pokémon has a set of base stats for Attack, Defense, and Stamina which never change - we've put together a list of these values so you can compare Pokémon.

Every single Pokémon that you catch will then have an additional set of values (randomly generated) for these three stats, which will range between 0 and 15 - these are the IVs.

Pokemon caught in Pokemon Go have two key metrics: IV and CP. Respectively, they measure a species’ potential and power.

IV in Pokemon Go

IV stands for individual values, which is something every Pokemon has. They determine your Pokemon’s potential in comparison to others of the same species, indicating how good they can be once fully powered up.

IVs are broken down into three statistics: attack, defense, and stamina (HP). Each of these statistics has an IV of 0 to 15. Therefore, perhaps the easiest way to think of these scores is as either a score out of 45, or as a percentage.

For example, a total IV score of 40 out of 45 (89%) would indicate a strong Pokemon, at least for that species. It is estimated that the chance of getting a perfect IV Pokemon is 1 in 4,096, although the chances of a 100 IV Pokemon varies depending on how you capture them.

Earning Pokemon from hatching eggs, completing field research tasks, and winning Raid Battles all drastically increase the chance of a perfect IV species.

The attack, defense, and stamina stats do the following:

  • Attack: A factor determining how much damage a Pokemon can cause
  • Defense: A factor determining how much damage a Pokemon can resist
  • Stamina: A factor determining how long a Pokemon can survive

Base stats and IVs

While IVs are important and play a vital role when trying to find competitive Pokemon, base stats are objectively more important. Each species of Pokemon have different base stats which are made up of the aforementioned attack, defense, and stamina.

Every single species of Pokemon has exactly the same base stats. If we take Pikachu for example, it has a base of stats of 112 attack, 96 defense, and 111 stamina. A perfect IV Pikachu would increase each of these by 15.

So, perfect IVs in comparison to the worst possible would increase Pikachu by roughly 15%. IVs become more important when comparing high-level Pokemon and those of the same species.
