Evolution spree

12/29/2021, Wed, Sunshine, snow covered in parking lot

Take the full chance of a lucky egg and also want to boost up my level.

  • Bulbasaur 887 - 546 (avery)
  • Charmander CP 590,   CP 1005,  Charizard (stardust1054)
  • Squirtle CP 656,   CP 1045
  • Caterpie 273,  CP
  • EKan 725,    1530
  • Vulpix 612,  1643
  • Oddish 737, 1022
  • Bellsprout, 647.  1022
  • Porugon, special trade requirement.  ( I have this)
  • Eevee 554, night, 1170
  • Spinarak 606, not enough candies
  • Snubbull 789, 1665
  • Surskit 591,  1746
  • Aron 894, CP 1430
  • Turtwig 702,  1164, 100 Candies   ( not yet)
  • Chimchar 573, 989
  • Piplup 710, 1152
  • Bidoof 554, 1461
  • Stunky 907, 1907
  • CroakGunk 752, 2039
  • Lillipup, 595,  1053
  • Pidove 680, 1181
  • Darumaka 815, 1760
  • Vanillish 1101, 1982
  • Froakie 610, 1031
  • FletchlingH, 445, 882
  • Spritzee, 884,   (adventure together), Once the Incense has been applied while Spritzee is a buddy, there is no required walking distance. Just hop over to the Pokemon menu and evolve Spritzee with the 50 candies collected
  • Swirlix, (adventure together), feed her 25 times. (Yes it works.
  • Dwebble 1010 (need 22 candies), Bug/Rock   ( not yet)
But this strategy has some problem. For someone who wants the least catch and high CP, they should wait and until they catch the highest CP. But if XP is low, the CP of Pokemon trainer catch is low too.

Send & Receive Gifts

Friends increase from 200 to 400

The number of Gifts you can open daily is currently increased to 30, and the number of Gifts you can carry in your Item Bag is increased to 20. Gifts also contain more Poké Balls. Check out the new stickers coming to gifts that you can send to your friends!  (https://pokemongolive.com/play-where-you-are/?hl=en)

I am so afraid of the security issue, I delay "Friend" feature as far as I can until I have to complete tasks. This is an extremely useful feature I missed it in the first week when I play pokemon.

Today, the Pokemon Company announced that they will be upgrading the Friends limit from 200 to 400.

Gifts alone can make a huge difference to what you can do long term, as they provide a regular free source of Ultra Balls, Max Revives and Max Potions, the free 7km eggs you might receive.

Sending & Receiving Gifts

Gifts contain an assortment of useful items, but you cannot open a Gift yourself. Instead, you can only send a Gift to a friend to open.

Each Gift includes a postcard about the PokéStop where it was collected. When you send a Gift to a friend, you’ll also share the PokéStop where you found this item. Note that your friend will be able to see the location you’ve visited when you send a Gift.

You can hold a maximum of 20 Gifts in your Bag at any given time. However, Gifts do not take up any of your inventory space.

To send a Gift:

  1. In Map View, navigate to your Trainer Profile.
  2. Tap the Friends tab at the top of the screen to open your Friend List.
  3. Tap on the Trainer that you wish to send the Gift. If you’d like to save the Postcard attached to the Gift, tap the pin icon to add it to your Postcard Book.
  4. Tap on the Send Gift button.
  5. Select which Gift you would like to send.
  6. Tap on the Send button.
Be sure to save the Postcard attached to the Gift before sending, as you cannot add it to your Postcard Book after you have sent it to your Friend.

To personalize a Gift, you can attach a sticker before sending it to a friend. After selecting the Gift you’d like to send, tap “Add sticker” and select the sticker you’d like to attach. Your friend will see the sticker when they open the Gift.

You can send each of your friends up to one Gift per day. If your friend has not yet opened a Gift that you’ve previously sent them, you won’t be able to send them another one until they open the first one.

The items, Stardust, and Pokémon Eggs you receive from the gift will automatically be deposited into your Item Bag or Pokémon Inventory.

Buddy System

https://dotesports.com/news/how-to-get-best-buddy-status-in-pokemon-go

Buddy Status Requirements    Reward

Good Buddy One Heart You’ll be able to see your Buddy Pokémon’s mood on its profile page

Great Buddy 70 Hearts          Your Buddy Pokémon will find presents around the map for you

Ultra Buddy 150 Hearts Your Buddy Pokémon will bring your souvenirs

Best Buddy 300 Hearts Your Buddy Pokémon will gain a CP boost in combats

Whenever your Buddy Pokémon is feeling excited, the distance it takes to find Candy will be cut in half. You’ll also start earning double hearts for each Buddy action you complete with your Buddy Pokémon.

If you start gaining Best Buddy status with some of the most powerful Pokémon at your service, they’ll be even more powerful in battles. Once you achieve Best Buddy status with some of your most-used Pokémon, you’ll be able to come up with different strategies before Raids or Gym battles.

To maximize your time and gain Best Buddy status with your Pokémon, you’ll need to complete the following routine daily for around 13 to 14 days.

Baby Pokemons

Although Baby Pokémon were added to Pokémon Go ahead of the main Gen 2 release, the update does tweak how likely you are to hatch the likes of Pichu, Cleffa, or Igglybuff from eggs.

https://www.wired.co.uk/article/pokemon-go-gen-2-tips-tricks

Those three, along with Togepi, all hatch after walking 2km in the real world. Rarer Baby Pokémon Smoochum, Elekid, and Magby all take 5km to hatch now.

  • Magby: Fire-type baby Pokémon evolves into Magmar
  • Cleffa: Fair-type baby Pokémon evolves into Clefairy
  • Pichu: Electric-type baby Pokémon evolves into Pikachu
  • Igglybuff: Dual-type normal/fairy baby Pokémon evolves into Jigglypuff
  • Smoochum: Dual-type ice/psychic baby Pokémon evolves into Jynx
  • Elekid: Electric-type baby Pokémon evolves into Electabuzz
  • Togepi: Fairy-type baby Pokémon evolves into Togetic from generation two.

The update also means Togepi - the only one of the original Baby Pokémon not based on a Gen 1 Pokémon - can evolve into Togetic. It's an easy enough evolution, requiring you feed it 50 Candy. The only hitch is getting enough Togepi Candy, as relying on hatching enough could take months. The best solution is to set Togepi as your partner Pokémon, which will net you a slow but reliable supply of Candy as you explore together.

Find out yesterday after midnight, 2:30am, but actually today, that the stardust for delibird up is to 600, plus weather boost, so I went outside to catch more (because I am afraid of running out ball). Use lucky egg, a star piece, and lure at the Tennis club. But lure doesn't work.

Lesson: stick to the spotlight and community day to save time and energy.

My child using my referral code to create another pokemon code ( a great way to get a bonus).  Finally, I can do trade with her instead of looking for friends. I played for just about two hours, her level is #L15. Require L#10 to do trading.

To finish Pokemon Go Winter Wonderland Collection Challenge, I have to wait for swinub, finally, I got it for her and me. I caught them so many in the past week ( I even evolve three of them) and I only keep one, but for some reason, I can't trade it.  Use first incense and an egg to level y child up fast, and use the second incense to trying attract swinub.  But actually, incense doesn't really work. swinub appears based on software code.

How to get Revive

Here's how to get Revives in 'Pokémon Go.

https://www.distractify.com/p/how-to-get-revives-in-pokemon-go

Luckily, there are a few different ways to get Revives in Pokémon Go. You can get them

  • through leveling up as a trainer,
  •  spinning the Photo Discs at Gyms or PokéStops,
  • defeating Raid Bosses, completing research tasks, or opening gifts.

Type:

Actually, there are two types of Revives: regular ones and Max Revives. As we know, a Revive gives your Pokémon health after their HP has been knocked down to zero. It restores half of the max HP a fainted Pokémon has. But a Max Revive gives your Pokémon way more health. As the name states, they give a fainted Pokémon all of its health back when it's used.

When you're leveling up, you can only get certain Revives as rewards. According to the Pokémon Go Fandom,
  • get Revives as you go from levels 5 to 29.
  • getting Max Revives when reach level 30.

Plus, the two look pretty different. Revives look like Plumbobs from The Sims while Max Revives look like star pieces or star fragments from Animal Crossing.

Once your Pokémon faint, they're out of the fight for good until you revive them. But sometimes you just don't have Revives available and want to avoid the issue in the first place. Many people avoid fights they know they can't win. But if you like a challenge, there are different potions you can use to stay in the fight.

  • Standard Potions are unlocked at level 5 and restore 20 HP.
  • Super Potions are unlocked at level 10 and restore 50 HP.
  • Hyper Potion are unlocked at level 15 and restore 200 HP.
  • Max Potions are unlocked at level 25 and restore all of a Pokémon's HP.

Keep in mind that a Pokémon can only have its HP restored until it's maxed out so if you use a Hyper Potion on one that is only missing 100 HP, only 100 HP will be restored.

You can get Potions the same way you get Revives. The more you level up, the more powerful the potion you get will be. But you can't use Potions on Pokémon that have fainted.
