The Mystery Box is a special item in Pokémon GO that temporarily causes the Mythical Pokémon Meltan to appear in the wild. You can obtain the Mystery Box by sending a Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, or Pokémon HOME.
Once you’ve activated the Mystery Box, you’ll have to wait three days and send another Pokémon to Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, or Pokémon HOME before you can activate it again, regardless of how you obtained it.
Players must have their Pokémon GO account linked with a Nintendo Account to get the Mystery Box. Then, the Nintendo Account must also be linked to Pokémon Home. Finally, players will need to transfer a Pokémon to the Home app. It is worth pointing out that whichever Pokémon players choose to send, they will not be able to return it to Pokémon GO. This item will exclusively spawn Meltan on the map for an hour. Once the hour is over, players will have to wait 3 days to send another Pokemon to one of these other games to use the box again.
Be aware, shiny meltan can only be available on some events, such as 2022 June TCG event.
